ECC runs a high performance coaching squad as part of its winter pre-season training program each year.

 

 This squad is selected from junior player’s who have demonstrated potential to play district cricket. Through the squad training we assess player’s capabilities in term of maturity, self awareness, confidence, ability to learn and develop, current demonstrated skill capability and overall professionalism and love of cricket.

Young player’s will be benefit greatly from this programme in terms of exposure to high level coaches and feedback to gauge where their skill level is at and what it will take to go to the next level.

All player’s are given feedback on areas of improvement and encouraged to develop over time. Successfully nominated player’s will be invited to join the EXX squad for pre-season training on completion of the high performance programme.

In 2013/14 five player’s were nominated to join the main squad for pre-season training, many of our current playing group have come through our high performance programme and joined the club.
