Muhammad Abdul Rafay Named in Victoria’s Squad for Under-19 Male Championships

Staff Writer

Victoria has announced its 14-player squad for the upcoming Under-19 Male Championships, scheduled to take place in Adelaide this December.

Among the talented young cricketers selected is our own Muhammad Abdul Rafay, who has earned his spot through consistent performances at Premier Level. Rafay has been an integral part of our 2nd XI over the past year and was rewarded with a 1st XI debut last round against Melbourne. Looking well and truly the part Rafay top scored in our first innings with a rear guard 40 before taking 2/29 in Melbourne's first innings.

The Under-19 Championships are a key platform for identifying the next generation of cricketing talent in Australia. Players like Rafay will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of national selectors, with hopes of progressing to higher levels, including Australia’s U19 squad.
