An exciting weekend of One Day cricket, see the recap below,
1st XI ECC 8-209 def by PCC 4-210
It was a day of what ifs for the 1sts in a competitive display against a strong Prahran CC.
Playing away at Toorak Park and being sent in to bat the Bombers were competitive in posting 8-209 against a very strong Prahran attack. Englishmen Harry Duke hit a well compiled 43 whilst wicket keeper Connor Poulton showed his class with 63 from 79 balls.

With 209 on the board the Bombers needed early wickets to put some pressure on the two blues. It was young spinner Jackson Martin who got the first breakthrough via a well held catch by Duke. Seamer Nick McGuane followed up straight away with another to leave Prahran at 2-63 and the Bombers with a sniff. Another two wickets had Prahran at 4-101 and hopes were high however unfortunately some disciplined batting from Prahran snuffed this hope and the total was chased down in the 43 over.
It was a competitive display against a strong opponent however not the result they Bombers were hoping for.
The 1sts now sit 14th on the ladder.
2nd XI ECC 7-289 def PCC 270
The 2nds continued their strong start to the season with a commanding victory against Prahran. Sent in at Cross Keys the opening pair of Fernando and Markovski got off to a flying start that had the Bombers 0-68. After the dismissal of Markovski for well made 46 young gun Simrth Gill took the reins smashing an exhilarating 77 from 75 a knock that included 7 fours and 4 sixes. Combining with Fernando (56) the pair put on 113 for the 2nd wicket and put the Bombers in a commanding position at 2-181. Further contributions down the order from Arshit ‘Jack’ Rajput (39) and Noah Panaia (29) helped the Bombers to an imposing 7-289 after their 50 overs.

With the ball the 2nds were clinical in bowling out Prahran for 270 in the 48th over. Seamers Muhammad Abdulrafay 2-53, Noman Safdar 1-48 and Lachie Busk 1-34 were exceptional in setting up the victory however it was the spin twins of Arshit Rajput 4-53 and Ikroop Dhanoa 2-37 who did the damage. With Prahran looking dangerous at 6-248 it was Rajput who iced the game claiming the last 4 wickets and powering the 2nds to a dominant team win.
The 2nds are now 3 wins from 4 and sit 7th on the ladder.
3RD XI ECC PCC 5-242 def by ECC 6-244
The 3rds won their second game on the trot recording an exciting win at Righetti Oval.
Bowling first the 3rds restricted Prahran to 5-242 from 45 overs. Jacob Pawlowicz was the standout with an impressive 4 wickets for 29 from his 9 overs.
With the bat it was Aidan Salvado who starred with a classy 87. He ably assisted by veteran Sean Phillips Williams who hit a well compiled 40. Further contributions from Jess Badhaan (29* and the ever reliable Paratrooper Singh himself (26*) saw the Bombers power to victory in the 44th over.

The win leaves the 3rds 9th on the ladder only 1 point outside of the 8.
4th XI PCC 7-191 def ECC 146
It was a tough day for the 4ths going down on Sunday to Prahran at Cross Keys. Bowling first the Bombers toiled hard with some success restricting Prahran to 7-191 in a rain reduced 35 over game. Muhammad Abdul Wasay outshone his older brother Rafay again with a tidy spell of two wickets for 30 to be the pick of the bowlers.
Chasing 192 for victory from 35 overs the Bombers never really got going, with wickets falling around him Ali Diwali was the standout with an impressive 63 however with no one able to offer any support around him it was all in vain as the 4ths were bowled out for 146. A disappointing day and result.
The loss leaves the 4ths 17th on the ladder.
After Round 4 the Bombers sit 10th on the Victorian Premier Cricket Club Championship.
The Bombers now look ahead to a One Day fixture against Kingston Hawks next Saturday. The 1st XI will be at home at Windy Hill for the first time this season
