It was a good day for the Bombers as the boys took on Northcote Dragons in 4 x Red Ball Two Day Fixtures. Vale Ross Whitford
The Essendon Cricket Club is sad to inform our members of the tragic passing of former player Ross Whitford just prior to the New Year. Ross was integral member of the Club throughout the 1960s and 70s and will be sorely missed. The Club would like to pass on our condolences to Ross's family and our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Round 14 Match Reports
It was a big weekend of cricket against Melbourne University with action a plenty. 1 st XI MUCC 8-385 drew ECC 9-356 It was a high scoring thriller at Windy Hill. Bowling first on Saturday in what proved to be great batting conditions it was Noman Safdar who got the ball rolling getting the first breakthrough. Cricket Australia U17 National Championships Representatives
Congratulations to ECC players Simrth Gill, Jackson Martin and Luay Miraz who all represented Vic Metro at last weeks U17 National Championships in Brisbane. The trio represented themselves and the Club brilliantly and all had very strong tournaments. A special mention to Simrth Gill who was also named in the team of the tournament. Round 13 Match Reports It was a tough day for the Bombers losing in all 4 grades against Richmond CC. 1 st XI RCC 7-239 def ECC 216 The Bombers took a detoured route out to Central Reserve on Saturday after the much anticipated match at Queen Elizabeth Oval, Bendigo had to be cancelled due to bushfires.
